This year at the “Winter Market at Riesenradplatz” we are celebrating the 15th anniversary under the motto "Prater rocks!", which offers a variety of exiting entertainment programs throughout the whole winter season.
Besides the culinary cuisine we offer, you can also get hot punch and even hotter live acts to warm up at the winter market on Riesenradplatz.
To find our lovingly designed stalls that will make your shopping heart beat faster, just follow the snowflakes into the charming winter market village on Pratermuseumsplatz.
For 51 days our winter market offers 37 great live concerts from gospel to pop and soul, a large family-friendly Perchten run, a heartfelt auction for a good cause, a brilliant silvester program, an atmospheric New Year’s concert transmission and a special winter sale which rounds off the last day of the winter experience.
But do not forget about the Prater-Fun! It does not matter if you are looking for an adventures ride on the winter train, high-flying rides on the chain carousel, excitement in the autodrom, meeting popular stars at Madam Tussauds Vienna, taking a spin in the Dizzy Mouse or a romantic ride on the Vienna Ferris wheel – there is always something going on in the Prater and you can enjoy all of that!

Concerts and events
The live concerts always take place from Wednesdays to Sundays from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, except on 24 December 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on 31 December 2023 starting at 8:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. You can find the current calendar here.

Attractions
Winter Market
The attractions at the Riesenradplatz are open. Outdoor business may close due to bad weather.
Attractions like Madame Tussauds, Vienna's Ferris Wheel and the Rollercoaster Restaurant are open all year and have set opening times, which you can find on the respective website.
Wurstelprater
The area of the Wurstelprater is accessible 365 days a year and round the clock. The attractions are open from 15 March to 31 October from approx. 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During the summer holidays, they are often also open later. From 1 November to 14 March is our winter season, during which some of the businesses are open during pleasnat weather.

New Year's Eve at the Riesenradplatz / New Year
"New Year's Eve at the Riesenradplatz" is one of the official stations along Vienna's New Year's Eve Path. In line with the motto "Let's party together!", an exciting programme will be on offer until 2:00 AM. Starting at 12:00 noon, you can get things going with hot drinks and snacks as well as fun rides on our attractions on New Year's Eve.

Live broadcast of the New Year's Concert. The traditional New Year's Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchstra will be broadcast live on our LED wall on 1 January 2025 starting at 11:00 AM.Planned opening times:

Lost items
Please leave any items you may find at the information desk at the Riesenradplatz or deposit them in a lost-and-found box. Following a retention time of two days, the information desk staff deposit every item found in the lost-and-found box. The lost-and-found box is a service provided by the City of Vienna and is emptied twice a week during the main season and once a week during the winter season. If you lose something during your visit, please contact the main lost property office of the City of Vienna directly. Please observe, though, that overlapping times are possible due to the times when the box is emptied.
