Under the motto “The Prater rocks” a winter festival for all the senses awaits you - with live music, culinary highlights, and plenty of family fun.
The Stage Is Set: Live Music, Shows, and Events
The Winter Market is set to rock the stage: 37 rousing live concerts ranging from gospel to pop and soul, a family-friendly Perchten parade, magical moments with the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour, a charity auction, a spectacular New Year’s Eve program, the traditional New Year’s concert on our LED-Wall, and, to top it all off, a special winter clearance sale - there’s something going on here every day!

Of course, the classic Prater fun is a must! Whether it’s a ride on the winter train, a spin on the chain carousel, jumping for joy at the trampoline park, action at the Autodrom, selfies with stars at Madame Tussauds, a visit to Magic World Vienna, or a romantic view of Vienna from the Giant Ferris Wheel - the Prater remains the city’s top destination even in winter.

Our live concerts regularly take place from Wednesday to Sunday between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m.
On December 24, 2026, you can already enjoy a concert from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. On December 31, 2026, the concert will begin at 6:00 p.m.
In addition, look forward to two special highlights in December: an extra concert on December 7, 2026, as well as an exclusive DJ event on December 22, 2026.

Whether you come by car, train, bus or aeroplane, it is extremely easy to travel to the wintermarket.
Parking
Our park offers a sufficient number of parking opportunities for a fee. There are parking spaces for the handicapped near to the Schweizerhaus, as well as near to Vienna’s Ferris Wheel in Tiefweg.
Directions
Winter Market
The attractions at the Riesenradplatz are open. Outdoor business may close due to bad weather.
Attractions like Madame Tussauds, Vienna's Ferris Wheel and the Rollercoaster Restaurant are open all year and have set opening times, which you can find on the respective website.
Wurstelprater
The area of the Wurstelprater is accessible 365 days a year and round the clock. The attractions are open from 15 March to 31 October from approx. 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During the summer holidays, they are often also open later. From 1 November to 14 March is our winter season, during which some of the businesses are open during pleasant weather.
Souvenirs and merchandise are available at the Information Centre at Riesenradplatz.
