Philipp Griessler

The Lower Austrian songwriter, composer, author and singer Philipp Griessler spans a range from self-ironic, socially critical lyrics to ballad-like love songs that get under your skin. Through precise word choice and powerful nuances, the dialect musician deals with his environment and sensitively scratches at the crust of everyday life. His debut album "Bezaubernder Moment", released in 2012, immediately made it into the rotation of Radio NÖ, Styria and Burgenland.

In his follow-up albums "Vertraut und Fremd" and "Wertvolle Zeit", produced in 2019, he also finds the right pitch for the sound of time. The songs take the audience on a musical journey through authentically conveyed stages of life and interpersonal poetry. His quiet care with words creates expressive lyrics. Melancholic and life-affirming, familiar and foreign, emotional and in a gentle way poetically presented varied and modern Austropop.

Meanwhile, a total of six songs from the three albums are broadcast on ORF radio stations (Lower Austria, Styria, Burgenland, Salzburg, Tyrol).
